DESCRIPTION:REPS is honored to share an evening LIVE via Zoom with the accomplished and well-loved broadcaster and author\, Bill Owen! \nAfter having Bill join us for our REPS Old Time Radio Quiz Show\, we wanted to take some time to hear from him directly and we welcome questions from you\, our members\, too! \n \nABC-TV personality Bill Owen is widely known as “The King of Trivia.” His writing and radio/television announcer career spans six decades\, and he was the beloved host of the Discovery television series for children. He also co-authored with Frank Buxton The Big Broadcast\, which is considered the Bible of old-time radio programs. He has been the announcer for ABC-TV’s World News This Morning where he contributed brief trivia items along with puzzles and quotations. That segment became the most popular part of the program and developed a cult following. In addition\, he has appeared on Good Morning America as a sports anchor and his sports knowledge also led to assignments on ABC’s Wide World of Sports and live coverage of the Olympics. Owen loves all things trivia\, and among his many written works are The Over 60 Trivia Book\, The Only Top 10 Lists Worth Arguing About\, Say That Again! DESCRIPTION:Join us for this special engagement at the Museum of Flight when the Radio Enthusiasts of Puget Sound present a live-read recreation of episodes from Hop Harrigan\, an aviation-themed adventure show from the 1940s and X Minus One\, a Sci-Fi radio drama series from the 1950s. \n \nThis performance will take place at the Museum of Flight in a room not far from the main entrance within the historic Red Barn\, the birthplace of the Boeing we know today. \nThe show is included with admission to the Museum of Flight\, please see the rates and discounts noted on their website: https://www.museumofflight.org/visit/hours-and-admission \nEpisodes “The Secret of Lakeville Bell\, Episode 1” from Hop Harrigan and “The Lights on Precipice Peak” from X Minus One will be presented\, along with a brief overview of Hop Harrigan and X Minus One and a bit of radio trivia. \nThis presentation is directed by Roger Kim and will be featuring the talents of many of our REPS players\, including Larry Albert\, Randy Clawson\, Dean T.
