May 13th, 2017 2-4 pm : Auburn Eagles Club Special Program — A Live Performance of classic radio show followed by John Jensen presents ….The Early Days of Radio: A Look at the Golden Age of Broadcasting.
Event Location: Auburn Eagles Club, 702 M St SE, Auburn, WA
REPS moves down South (to Auburn Washington) for this month’s program and it’s a special program worth traveling to. John Jensen has enthralled audiences with presentations on Orson Welles, Bing Crosby, World War II, The Great Radio Comedians and many other subjects. John has a special flair for presenting. His presentations are informative, entertaining and a lot of fun. On May 13th John will present highlights from his current lecture series at Bellevue College called “The Early Days of Radio: A Look at the Golden Age of Broadcasting.” John would include clips from news, drama and entertainment programs of the period and talk about each genre.
Preceding John Jensen Presents to lead off the afternoon of fun and merriment will be a performance by the REPS Radio Artists presenting a live radio stage show with music, comedy and laughs reminiscent of a big time national radio show of the 1940s. Indeed, a special REPS Program not to be missed!
